1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Accawo platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are prohibited from using the Service. The Service is provided by Accawo Technologies Ltd.

2. User Registration and Verification

To utilize our digital savings services, you must register for an account. By registering, you agree that:

• You will provide accurate, current, and complete registration data.
• You are responsible for keeping your password and verification details secure.
• You are solely responsible for all activities occurring under your registered profile.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false contact information or fail OTP/OAuth identity checks.

3. Rotating Savings and Contributions (Osusu/Esusu)

Accawo acts as a digital ledger and processing intermediary for community and group rotating savings. You agree to follow these group contribution guidelines:

• Commitment: Joining a savings group binds you to pay the group contributions at the specified cycles (daily, weekly, or monthly) until the group's rotation cycle completes.
• Payouts: Rotation order is determined either automatically or by the group manager. Once paid out, a user remains fully obligated to pay future contributions until all members have received their rotating payout.
• Fines/Penalties: Delayed contributions may attract system-enforced penalty fines. If a user defaults, Accawo reserves the right to lock the user's personal wallet and use any available balance to neutralize outstanding group debts.

4. Fees and Payment Operations

Transactions (deposits, payouts, and withdrawals) are processed via our payment gateway partner, OPay. You agree to pay all service fees associated with these transactions, as displayed on the deposit or withdrawal interface. While we strive to ensure 100% payment gateway uptime, we are not liable for delayed payouts resulting from bank infrastructure downtime or gateway connection errors.

5. Code of Conduct and Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Service for money laundering, fraud, terrorist financing, or any other illegal activities. You may not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or bypass the security of the Accawo platform, including but not limited to attempts to fake transaction confirmations or circumvent contribution cycles.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Accawo Technologies Ltd. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data corruption, or default on the part of other savings group participants.

7. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the date at the top of this document. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
